Badger DAO Weekly Newsletter #16
ibBTC, Badger Vaults on BSC, Badger x Cometh NFTs, Honeypot with MEME
Hey there, Badgers
The first quarter of 2021 is coming to an end. The Badgers are getting into their groove of shipping new products that benefit DeFi for Bitcoin. This is the beginning of a multichain reality and Badger is working hard to bring Bitcoin to every chain. The Badgers are happy to announce that the first Sett vaults are live on the Binance Smart Chain. More on that later!
Furthermore, @NexusMutual cover on Badger is available again. The DeFi space is very young and volatile and Badger is encouraging everyone to stay as protected as possible.
And lastly, if you voted on Badger’s Snapshot page, there might be a $ICE airdrop waiting for you. Popsicle ($ICE) is a cross-chain yield enhancement platform focusing on Automated Market-Making (AMM) Liquidity Providers (LP).
That’s it! Now, let's digg into what's exactly been going on with the Badger DAO during the fourth week of March 2021. 🦡
Badger on EVERY Chain: Sett Vaults are now Live on Binance Smart Chain
Badger’s vaults make it easy for users to optimize their yield for BTC LP positions on BSC. They take your $CAKE, stake it in the syrup pool for extra APY, and periodically convert to your underlying position. No need to claim or do anything.
The following vaults are available with a 0.5% withdrawal fee and 20% performance fee:
Do you want to participate? Follow this step-by-step guide on how to go from Badger and DIGG on ETH to using the vaults on BSC. This is just the beginning of Badger’s cross-chain journey as Badger strives to become the most trusted place to put your Bitcoin to work on all chains.
Badger x Cometh Partnership: Badger NFTs on Opensea
In partnership with DeFi powered gaming platform Cometh, Badger is launching a new collection consisting of four unique Badger-themed NFT spaceships. Cometh is a DeFi-powered game that requires users to leverage yield generating NFTs or “spaceships” to mine tokens that can then be used throughout the DeFi ecosystem.
Your astrominer is your spaceship, and as it orbits the scorching sun, your goal is to position yourself strategically close to *smart* *asteroids* passing by so you can farm them. Other spaceships may even reward you by paying you a fee to join your advantageous interstellar position. Pretty sweet, huh? You can find all the details in our blog post.
Diamond Hands: the $600k Honeypot with MEME is Live
The strongest hands win! Farm limited NFTs with Badger and Meme by staking bDIGG. The game will be live for the next weeks, the honeypot is now worth $600.000, and there is no deposit cap for staking bDIGG.
How does it work?
Stake as much bDIGG as you can as quickly as possible on launch
Monitor your pineapple rank at https://niftyrank.com/meme-farms/
If necessary, you can catch up by adding more bDIGG

A New Standard: Launching Interest Bearing Bitcoin (ibBTC) with DefiDollar
Liquidity of tokenized BTC on Ethereum is spread across different flavors (e.g. wBTC, renBTC, tBTC, sBTC). The Vision behind ibBTC is to bundle these together and build a yUSD-equivalent for BTC that would become the default BTC denominated asset on Ethereum. In order to accomplish this, Badger is partnering with DeFiDollar, a longstanding player in the DeFi space that has been focused on stablecoins.
Badger Setts are the first liquidity pools being leveraged to mint ibBTC and ibBTC will be a composable asset in its own right, and as such will be fully compatible with other DeFi applications and protocols. ibBTC will be a native asset on widely used side chains. At launch, Badger will simultaneously launch Setts on BSC and Polygon.
